AN ACT concerning

Kent County - Alcoholic Beverages - Special Class C

Licenses

FOR the purpose of providing for the issuance of a special
Class C beer license in Kent County; extending the
effective period for and altering the fees of special
Class C alcoholic beverages licenses; altering the
periods for which alcoholic beverages licenses may be
issued in Kent County; providing for fees to correspond
to the license periods; providing that this Act does
not prevent certain licensees from applying for license
renewal; and changing the hours in which certain Kent
County restaurants may serve alcoholic beverages.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

25.

(d-2) In Kent County, A SPECIAL CLASS C BEER LICENSE,
a special Class C beer and wine license and a special Class
C beer, wine, and liquor license may be issued to any bona
fide religious, fraternal, civic, veterans', hospital, or
charitable club, society, association, or organization, for
a period not exceeding [one day] 3 DAYS. The fee for the
SPECIAL BEER LICENSE IS $5 PER DAY, THE FEE FOR THE special
beer and wine license is $15 PER DAY, and the fee for the
special beer, wine, and liquor license is $25 PER DAY.
