(III) IF REQUIRED AS A MATTER OF SOUND
MEDICAL PRACTICE, PLACING PLACE CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
ON THE COURSE OF TREATMENT.

(B)  THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO A DENTIST
PERFORMING ACUPUNCTURE IN CONNECTION WITH THE PRACTICE OF
DENTISTRY IF THE DENTIST IS LICENSED OR OTHERWISE AUTHORIZED
TO PRACTICE DENTISTRY UNDER TITLE 4 OF THIS ARTICLE.

(C)  AN INDIVIDUAL, INCLUDING A PHYSICIAN, SHALL BE
REGISTERED BY THE BOARD BEFORE THE INDIVIDUAL MAY PERFORM
ACUPUNCTURE IN THIS STATE.

(D)(1) TO BE REGISTERED TO PERFORM ACUPUNCTURE, AN

INDIVIDUAL SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION,

TRAINING, DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE, ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IN

THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE, PAYMENT OF APPLICATION AND

REGISTRATION FEES, AND OTHER REASONABLE CONDITIONS

DETERMINED BY THE BOARD.

(2) THE BOARD SHALL REGISTER TO PERFORM

ACUPUNCTURE ANY APPLICANT WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
SECTION.

(D) THE BOARD SHALL REGISTER TO PERFORM ACUPUNCTURE
ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

(1) EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR DEMONSTRATED
EXPERIENCE;

(2) ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE IN THE ENGLISH
LANGUAGE;

(3) PAYMENT OF APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION
FEES;. AND

(4) OTHER REASONABLE CONDITIONS DETERMINED BY
THE BOARD.

(E) (1) AN INDIVIDUAL WHO IS REGISTERED UNDER THIS
SECTION MAY PERFORM ACUPUNCTURE ON OR OFF THE PREMISES OF A
PHYSICIAN'S OFFICE, BUT ONLY UNDER THE GENERAL SUPERVISION
OF A LICENSED PHYSICIAN, WHETHER OR NOT TRAINED IN THE FIELD
OF ACUPUNCTURE.

(2) (I) THE BOARD MAY REQUIRE THE SUPERVISING,
LICENSED PHYSICIAN TO UNDERTAKE NO MORE THAN 35 HOURS OF
TRAINING IN AN ACUPUNCTURE PROGRAM, APPROVED BY THE BOARD,
INCLUDING TRAINING IN EACH OF THE FOLLOWING SUBJECT AREAS
PERTAINING TO ACUPUNCTURE:

1. THEORY;

2. HISTORY;
