SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County - Dog Tags and Licenses

FOR the purpose of requiring that dog tags in Anne Arundel
County be impressed with the expiration date of a dog
license; exempting dog tags in Anne Arundel County from
the requirement that dog tags change shape from year to
year; providing that dog licenses in Anne Arundel
County expire when rabies vaccination certificates
expire; and generally relating to dog tags and licenses
in Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 56 - Licenses

191.

(m) In Anne Arundel County, the fees for dog and
kennel licenses shall be determined by the County Council of
Anne Arundel County. A DOG LICENSE SHALL EXPIRE WHEN A
RABIES VACCINATION CERTIFICATE ISSUED UNDER § 18-319(A)(3)
OF THE HEALTH GENERAL ARTICLE EXPIRES.
