THE LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES.

(C) PAMPHLETS SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO PROVIDERS FOR
DISTRIBUTION TO PARENTS.

32G.

(A)  THE REVOCATION OF REGISTRATION, APPEAL THEREON,
AND THE ENJOINING OF UNREGISTERED FAMILY DAY CARE HOMES
SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH §§ 22, 23, 25, 26, AND 28 OF
THIS ARTICLE.

(B)  ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE OR OF ANY REGULATION ADOPTED BY THE DEPARTMENT
UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT TO
EXCEED $500.

32H.

NOTHING IN THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE DEEMED TO IMPAIR OR
LIMIT THE POWERS OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES,
THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, OR THE STATE DEPARTMENT
OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE GRANTED UNDER ANY OF THE OTHER
PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE UNLESS THE SAME ARE NECESSARILY
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (as enacted by Chapter

___ (H.B. 200) of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1982)

read(s) as follows:

Article - Health - General

14-101.

(c) "Group day care center" means an agency,

institution, or establishment that, for part or  all of a

day, on a regular schedule, and at least twice     a week,

offers or provides group day care to at least [5] 7   children
who do not have the same parentage.

14-102.

(a) The General Assembly finds that:

(1) A child is not capable of self-protection;
and

(2) If care of a child is given over to another,
mental and physical risks arise that need to be offset by
reasonable protective measures.
