Tri-County Center

FOR the purpose of suspending the provisions of Section 1
(9) of Chapter 693 of the Acts of 1980 relating to the
time by which the Tri-County Center project contained
in the General Construction Loan of 1980 must be placed
under contract.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, that the provisions of Section 1 (9) of Chapter
693 of the Acts of 1980 be and they are hereby suspended for
1 year insofar as they impose a time limit for placing under
contract the following project in Section 1 (3) of Chapter
693 of the Acts of 1980:

Section 1 (3) (F) (1) (a) (1)

Planning funds for the construction of a Tri-County
(St. Mary's, Calvert and Charles Counties) Center for
Children and Adolescents (TRICA) contingent on the approval
of the Southern Maryland Health Systems Agency study as
funded in the General Construction Loan of 1979 by the
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department
of State Planning....................................100, 000

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning

Public Service Commission - Master Metering

FOR the purpose of permitting the Public Service Commission
to authorize central heating and cooling systems for
certain new residential multiple occupancy buildings
when proven to result in substantial net energy savings
over individually metered systems; redefining
submetering to include the installation of equipment
for the purpose of determining the actual use of gas
per certain units; authorizing the Public Service
Commission to promulgate rules, regulations, and
standards for gas submetering; and generally relating
to gas and electric metering.
