plans for a 500-bed State medium/maximum
security prison. No funds from this
appropriation are to be expended before

TO PROVIDE A PORTION OF THE FUNDS TO
CONSTRUCT A NEW 720-BED MEDIUM SECURITY
CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION AT THE MARYLAND
CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION - HAGERSTOWN
COMPLEX (WASHINGTON COUNTY), provided
that the perimeter security at all State
Correctional, facilities in Washington
County shall be at least equivalent to
perimeter security of a State medium
security correctional institution; and

that preference shall be given to

qualified residents living within

Washington County for employment at the
complex.................................

(F)(1)(b)(1) [Preparation of plans and
specifications and construction of a
192-bed medium security housing unit....

(2)] Extension of Anne Arundel County water
main to House of Correction and
renovation of water storage facilities
in Jessup Complex.......................

(G)(1)(f) Security Lighting - Phase IV,
including the Mall, Parking Lot 1 East,
and the area around the Bureau of Mines
and the Bureau of Fisheries Buildings.
However, the remainder of the unexpended
funds in this request may not revert to
the State, but shall be used only for
the security lighting project on the
College Park Campus of the University of
Maryland................................

(H)(2)(a) To supplement the appropriation,
"Alterations to Smith Hall", originally
made by Chapter 795 on page 2322 of the
Acts of 1978; Section 1(7) of Chapter
