RETARDED INDIVIDUALS;

TRAINING RELATED TO MENTAL RETARDATION; AND

(10)  TO PROMOTE PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THESE
POLICIES AND THE PROGRAMS PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE.

7-103. CONSTRUCTION OF TITLE.

(A)  CONSISTENT WITH POLICY.

THIS TITLE SHALL BE CONSTRUED IN A MANNER CONSISTENT
WITH THE POLICY STATED IN THIS SUBTITLE.

(B)  EFFECT ON OTHER SERVICES.

THIS TITLE DOES NOT PREVENT MENTALLY RETARDED
INDIVIDUALS FROM BEING ELIGIBLE FOR:

(1)  FOSTER CARE;

(2)  HELP IN OBTAINING FOSTER CARE; OR

(3)  ANY OTHER SERVICES THAT THE STATE SOCIAL
SERVICES ADMINISTRATION OR A LOCAL DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL
SERVICES PROVIDES.
