SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect on July 1, 1982, contingent on the passage

of H.B.____ (2rl714) of 1982. Should that measure fail of

enactment, the provisions of this Act are null and void
without the need of further action by the General Assembly.

(House Bill 1490)

AN ACT concerning

Wicomico County and Worcester Counties - Workmen's

Compensation - Members of Volunteer Fire Companies

and Rescue Squads

FOR the purpose of providing that all member of all
volunteer fire companies and all members of all rescue
squads in Wicomico County are deemed to be engaged in
extra hazardous employment, within the meaning of the

Workmen's Compensation Act, under certain

circumstances.

FOR the purpose of providing that the County Commissioners
of Worcester County and the Wicomico County Council,
respectively, may provide for coverage under the
Workmen's Compensation Act of members of volunteer fire
companies and members of rescue squads.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
