LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 21

allow the Administration to set the limits for
both.

The only other changes are in style.

As to subsection (b)(2)(ii) of this section, the
Commission to Revise the Annotated Code notes,
for consideration by the General Assembly, that
the liability insurance actually provided under
this provision includes coverage for actions
against a foster parent by the foster child.
However, there is no coverage for actions against
a foster parent by a natural parent or any other
third party. The General Assembly may wish to
reconsider subsection (b)(2)(ii) of this section
and the similar provision in Article 88A, §
32B of the Code — in light of the actual
practice.

The General Assembly also may wish to consider
adding a reference to actions by an adoptive
parent.

Defined terms: "Administration" § 6-101
"Includes"/"including" § 1-101
"Person" § 1-101 "Secretary" § 1-101

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Throughout this subtitle, the phrase "court sitting as
a juvenile court" is substituted for phrases such as
"juvenile court", to conform to the terminology in CJ §
3-801(h).

Former Article 52A, § 10(a), which stated that this
subtitle is not limited by the powers of the conservator of
the peace, is transferred to Article 27, § 399 of the Code,
which generally relates to those conservators.

Former Article 52A, § 10(b), which included a facility
that retains children who are adjudicated delinquent as a
place of confinement for purposes of escape penalties, is
transferred to Article 27, § 139 of the Code.

Former Article 52A, § 14A, which provided for the
clerk's office of the juvenile division of the Supreme Bench
of Baltimore City until January 1, 1983 and, after that
date, the circuit court, is transferred to the Session Laws.

SUBTITLE 2. HOUSE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD.

6-201. AUTHORIZATION TO RECEIVE FEMALE MINORS.

THE HOUSE OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD OF THE CITY OF BALTIMORE
MAY RECEIVE ANY FEMALE MINOR WHO IS:
