Dentistry
FOR the purpose of repealing certain exceptions for a clinic
of charitable institution or a corporation as they
relate to certain dental services; providing that
certain exceptions as to dental services include a
clinic that employes a dental hygienist under certain
conditions; and requiring the dental hygienist to be
licensed by the State Board of Dental Examiners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
Article - Health Occupations
4-102.
(c) This title does not apply to a clinic maintained
by a public school[,] FOR ITS PUPILS OR a State [or
charitable] institution[, or a business corporation,] for
its [pupils,] inmates[, or employees] if:
(c) This title does not apply to a clinic maintained
by a public school, a State INSTITUTION, or charitable
institution [, or a business corporation, ] for its pupils,
inmates, or employees if:
(1) Each dentist OR DENTAL HYGIENISTS that the
clinic employs is a licensed dentist OR A LICENSED DENTAL
HYGIENIST; and
(2) (1) The school[,] OR STATE institution[, or
corporation] does not advertise concerning dentistry . ;
AND
(2) NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBSECTION:
(I) EACH DENTAL HYGIENIST, DENTAL
ASSISTANT, DENTAL TECHNICIAN, OR OTHER DENTAL AUXILIARY
