LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 376

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Mass Transit
Administration to establish a police force; providing
concurrent jurisdiction with certain other law
enforcement agencies; providing for the adoption of
standards for the training, performance, and duties of
these police employees; providing for the adoption of
rules governing the operation of this police force;
permitting the Administration to enter into agreements
for the delineation of the responsibilities of the
police force; authorizing the police force to issue
certain citations; and authorizing the police force to
arrest a person without a warrant under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to the Mass
Transit Administration Police Force.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

594B.

(f) For purposes of this section, the terra "police
officer" means any person who, in his official capacity, is
authorized by law to make arrests and who is:

(1) A member of the Maryland State Police; or

(2) A member of the Baltimore City police
department; or
