17.

The Office on Aging may inspect any facility offering
continuing care, examine its books and records, and audit or
observe any service rendered pursuant to an agreement.
HOWEVER, IF A CONTINUING CARE FACILITY OR A PORTION OF A
FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO LICENSURE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
AND MENTAL HYGIENE, THE STATE OFFICE ON AGING SHALL
COORDINATE ITS INSPECTION OF THAT FACILITY OR PORTION OF
THAT FACILITY WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL
HYGIENE TO AVOID DUPLICATION.

[21.

Any continuing care contract which violates the
provisions of § 13 shall be null and void. ]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July June 1, 1982.
