PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, CONSTRUCT THE INDEPENDENT SYSTEM
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPROVED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

(D)  OPERATION OF INDEPENDENT SYSTEM.
EACH INDEPENDENT SYSTEM SHALL BE OPERATED:

(1) AT THE EXPENSE OF THE PERSON OR COUNTY THAT
CONSTRUCTS IT; AND

(2) UNDER THE GENERAL SUPERVISION OF THE
SANITARY COMMISSION.

(E)  RECORDS RELATING TO INDEPENDENT SYSTEM; FILING
WITH SANITARY COMMISSION.

THE PERSON OR COUNTY THAT CONSTRUCTS AN INDEPENDENT
SYSTEM SHALL:

(1) KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS OF:

(I) THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE INDEPENDENT
SYSTEM;

(II) THE OPERATION OF THE INDEPENDENT
SYSTEM; AND

(III) THE COST OF BUILDING AND OPERATING
THE INDEPENDENT SYSTEM; AND

(2) FILE COPIES OF THE RECORDS WITH THE SANITARY
COMMISSION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence, except the first and last clauses of
that sentence, and the first clause of the second
sentence of former Article 43, § 666.

Subsection (e)(1) of this section is new language
added to emphasize that the cited records must be
kept -- a necessary implication from the
requirement, in the second sentence of former
Article 43, § 666, that the records be "filed
with the commission".

9-665. ACQUIRING EXISTING SYSTEMS.

(A) BUYING EXISTING SYSTEMS -- POWER OF SANITARY
COMMISSION.

(1) IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION, A DISTRICT
MAY BUY AN EXISTING MUNICIPAL SYSTEM OR INDEPENDENT SYSTEM.

(2) THE PURCHASE MAY BE ON ANY TERMS THAT ARE:
