2240                                      LAWS OF MARYLAND                                    Ch. 240

LANDFILL, INCINERATOR, TRANSFER STATION, OR ANY OTHER TYPE
PLANT THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF WHICH IS FOR THE DISPOSAL,
TREATMENT, OR PROCESSING OF SOLID WASTE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 387C(a)16.

The only changes are in style.

(P) SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM.

(1) "SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM" MEANS ANY
SYSTEM, WHETHER PUBLICLY OR PRIVATELY OWNED, THAT PROVIDES
SCHEDULED OR SYSTEMATIC COLLECTION OF SOLID WASTE AND ITS
TRANSPORTATION TO AND TREATMENT OR OTHER DISPOSITION AT A
SOLID WASTE ACCEPTANCE FACILITY.

(2) "SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SYSTEM" INCLUDES ALL
SOLID WASTE ACCEPTANCE FACILITIES USED IN CONNECTION WITH
THE SYSTEM.

(Q) SUBDIVISION.

(1) "SUBDIVISION" MEANS THE DIVISION OF A SINGLE
TRACT, TRACTS, OR OTHER PARCELS OF LAND, OR A PART OF ANY OF
THESE, INTO 2 OR MORE LOTS, FOR THE PURPOSE, WHETHER
IMMEDIATE OR FUTURE, OF SALE OR BUILDING DEVELOPMENT.

(2) "SUBDIVISION" INCLUDES CHANGES IN STREET
LINES OR LOT LINES.

(3) "SUBDIVISION" DOES NOT INCLUDE DIVISIONS OF
LAND FOR AGRICULTURE PURPOSES INTO PARCELS OF MORE THAN 3
ACRES, NOT INVOLVING ANY NEW STREET OR EASEMENT OF ACCESS.

(R) WATER SUPPLY; WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM; WATERWORKS.

(1) "WATER SUPPLY", "WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM", OR
"WATERWORKS" MEANS THE SOURCES AND THEIR SURROUNDINGS FROM
WHICH WATER IS SUPPLIED FOR DRINKING OR DOMESTIC PURPOSES,
TOGETHER WITH ALL STRUCTURES, CHANNELS, AND APPURTENANCES BY
MEANS OF WHICH IT IS PREPARED FOR USE AND DELIVERED TO
CONSUMERS.

(2) "WATER SUPPLY", "WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM", AND
