title" is substituted for the reference to former

Also in subsection (a)(2) of this section
"registered" is deleted because the limitations
on the Department's power that appear in § 8-402
of this subtitle apply only to licensing and not
to registration.

Also in subsection (a)(2) of this section, "of"
is substituted for "or", to conform to apparent
legislative intent.

8-404. INTERAGENCY COOPERATION.

THE FOLLOWING STATE AGENCIES SHALL ASSIST THE SECRETARY
IN EVALUATING ANY TECHNOLOGY OR MEANS FOR THE PERMANENT
DISPOSAL OF LOW-LEVEL NUCLEAR WASTE:

(1)  THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

(2)  THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT.

(3)  THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES.

(4)  THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE PLANNING.

(5)  THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 689G(a).

In this section "assist" is substituted for
"cooperate in assisting", for clarity.

The only other changes are in style.

8-405. REPORT TO GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

AFTER CONSIDERING ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION, THE
SECRETARY SHALL REPORT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY THE
SECRETARY'S FINDINGS, UNDER § 8-403 OF THIS SUBTITLE, ON THE
STATUS OF ANY TECHNOLOGY OR MEANS FOR THE PERMANENT DISPOSAL
OF LOW-LEVEL NUCLEAR WASTE.
