(B) EFFECTIVE DATE OF ORDER.

ANY ORDER ISSUED UNDER THIS SECTION IS EFFECTIVE
IMMEDIATELY, ACCORDING TO ITS TERMS, WHEN IT IS SERVED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language patterned after the first paragraph of
NR § 8-1412(a) -- except the first and second
sentences of that paragraph and the second and
third sentences of item (1) of that paragraph.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language
patterned after the eighth sentence of the second
paragraph of NR § 8-1412(a).

7-260. SERVICE.

(A)  MANNER OF SERVICE.

ANY COMPLAINT, CORRECTIVE ORDER, NOTICE, OR OTHER
INSTRUMENT ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT UNDER THIS SUBTITLE MAY
BE SERVED ON THE PERSON TO WHOM IT IS DIRECTED:

(1)  PERSONALLY;

(2)  BY PUBLICATION; OR

(3)  BY REGISTERED MAIL TO THE LAST KNOWN ADDRESS
AS SHOWN ON THE DEPARTMENT'S RECORDS.

(B)  CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE.

IF SERVICE IS MADE BY REGISTERED MAIL, THE PERSON WHO
MAILS THE DOCUMENT SHALL FILE WITH THE DEPARTMENT VERIFIED
PROOF OF MAILING.

(C)  TIME OF SERVICE.

ANY NOTICE THAT REQUIRES FILING OF A REPORT, ATTENDANCE
AT A HEARING, OR BOTH SHALL BE SERVED AT LEAST 10 DAYS
BEFORE THE EARLIER OF:

(1)  THE TIME SET FOR THE HEARING, IF ANY; OR

(2)  THE TIME SET FOR THE FILING OF THE REPORT,
IF ANY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language patterned
after NR § 8-1412(c) and the sixth and seventh
sentences of the second paragraph of (a).
