(A)  IN GENERAL.

A LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE NOVEMBER 30 AFTER ITS
EFFECTIVE DATE UNLESS THE LICENSE IS RENEWED FOR A 1-YEAR
TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)  RENEWAL NOTICE.

AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES, THE
DEPARTMENT SHALL SEND TO THE LICENSEE, BY FIRST CLASS MAIL
TO THE LAST KNOWN ADDRESS OF THE LICENSEE, A RENEWAL NOTICE
THAT STATES:

(1)  THE DATE ON WHICH THE CURRENT LICENSE
EXPIRES; AND

(2)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE RENEWAL APPLICATION
MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE DEPARTMENT FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE
ISSUED AND MAILED BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES.

(C)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE PERIODICALLY
MAY RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1-YEAR TERM, IF THE LICENSEE:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED; AND

(2)  SUBMITS TO THE SECRETARY A RENEWAL
APPLICATION ON THE FORM THAT THE SECRETARY REQUIRES.

(D)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE SECRETARY SHALL RENEW THE LICENSE OF EACH LICENSEE
WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
the second and third clauses of the first
sentence of former Article 43, § 205 and the
second and third clauses of the second sentence
of § 206.

Subsection (b) of this section, which provides
for renewal notice, is new language added to
conform to practice and to similar provisions
governing other licenses in former Article 43.

Subsection (c) of this section, which provides
for renewal procedure, is new language added to
conform to practice and to similar provisions
governing other licenses in former Article 43.

Subsection (d) of this section, which requires
the Secretary to renew licenses of qualified
licensees, is new language added to state
