SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland read(s) as follows:

Article 5 - Calvert County

17-102.

(a)  (1) The Board of County Commissioners may appoint
an Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board consisting of
five members, at least three of whom shall be owner
operators of commercial farms who earn 51 percent or more of
their income from farming.

(2) THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY
DESIGNATE APPOINT ONE OR MORE ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE
AGRICULTURAL PRESERVATION ADVISORY BOARD WHO MAY BE
EMPOWERED TO SIT ON THE BOARD IN THE ABSENCE OF ANY MEMBER
OF THE BOARD. HOWEVER, A QUORUM FOR MEETINGS IS 3 MEMBERS
EXCLUSIVE OF ALTERNATES OF WHOM NO MORE THAN 1 SHALL BE AN
ALTERNATE.

(b)  One member OF THE BOARD shall be a resident of
each election district.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the State's
Attorney in Carroll County; and providing that this Act
shall not affect the incumbent.
