(w) (1) The Sheriff of Washington County shall receive
a salary of [$18,000] $23,000. He may appoint an office
deputy at a salary set by the County Commissioners. He may
appoint the following additional employees who shall receive
not less than the salaries indicated: two deputies--$2,400
and $50 per month each for the use of their automobiles; one
secretary--$l,800; a chief warden of the jail--$2,400; an
assistant warden--$2,100; an attorney to the Sheriff--$600;
and a cook--$l,800; additional special deputies--same salary
as deputies. Salaries set by this section, except the
Sheriff's salary are minimum salaries and may be increased
from time to time by the County Commissioners.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Sheriff of Washington County in office on the effective date
of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the
salary of the Sheriff of Washington County shall take effect
at the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

FOR the purpose of allowing certain antitrust actions
regardless of whether a person receiving certain
injuries or threats of injury dealt directly or
indirectly with the defendant; providing that a certain
defense is available in certain antitrust actions; and
providing that this Act applies to certain actions.
