(2) After application of the proceeds in
accordance with paragraph (1) of this subsection, any
balance shall be held for 30 days for the benefit of the
owner of the animal. If the balance is unclaimed after 30
days, the veterinarian OR KENNEL COMMERCIAL BOARDING KENNEL
OPERATOR shall turn the balance over to the local board of
education.

(e) The exercise of any right provided in this section
does not prevent a subsequent action at law for the
collection of any money remaining due and unpaid to the
veterinarian OR KENNEL COMMERCIAL BOARDING KENNEL OPERATOR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

Funding - Marriage License Fees

FOR the purpose of imposing authorizing an additional fee
for the issuance of marriage licenses in Montgomery
County; providing that the proceeds of the additional
fee, in addition to designated federal, State, and
county funds, be used to fund battered spouse shelters
and domestic violence programs in Montgomery County;

clarifying language; and generally relating to

disposition of the proceeds from the additional fee.
