transferred by approved
budget amendment within the
Department of Personnel to
Personnel                         Benefits

Contributions for funding
increased requirements for
the State's share of Social
Security imposed by the
impact of authorized salary
adjustments; and $395,181 of
the authorized General Fund
appropriation may be
transferred to the State
Department of Education to
implement employee and
teacher salary adjustments
at the Maryland School for
the Blind; an additional
$190,000 of the authorized
General Fund appropriation
may be transferred to the
Judiciary to supplement the
statewide adjustment in
order to implement fully the
recommendations of the
Judicial Compensation
Commission.
From Special and Federal
Funds, for payments required
as a result of salary
adjustments and increases
and for increased costs for
Social Security and
Retirement contributions
resulting therefrom,
authorization is hereby
granted to use Special and
Federal Funds for this
purpose, in the amount of
$32,947,266 to be payable
out of revenues and grants
which are the source of
funds for the payment of
budget appropriations
payable out of Special and
Federal Funds; this amount
being estimated and it being
the intent that the actual
amount, whether it be more
or less, shall be made
available in allocating by
budget amendment to the
various State agencies the
