Ch. 54

(1)  The first $150,000 shall be paid into a
special fund administered by the State Scholarship Board for
use in the medical, dental, legal, nursing, and
pharmaceutical scholarship programs provided by this State;
and

(2)  The next $200,000 shall be used solely for
the purposes of the scholarship program authorized by
Sections 18-1101 through 18-1105 of the Education Article of
the Code; and

(3)  Except as otherwise provided by law, any
balance shall be paid directly into the general funds of
this State.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

(House Bill 606)

AN ACT concerning

Garrett County - Employment of Prisoners

FOR the purpose of authorizing certain courts of Garrett
County to include in a sentence of confinement an
additional sentence of useful labor on certain public
property; and authorizing the Sheriff of Garrett County
to require certain prisoners to do certain public
labor.
