SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(r) The annual salary of the county treasurer of
Somerset County is [$11,500] $15,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
County Treasurer of Somerset County in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary of the County Treasurer of Somerset
County shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.

SECTION 3, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

Garrett County - Competitive Bidding

FOR the purpose of providing that county work and certain
contracts shall be awarded by competitive bidding under
certain conditions in Garrett County; and generally
