HARRY HUGHES, Governor

95

THIS TITLE SHALL TERMINATE AND BE OF NO EFFECT AFTER JULY 1,
1984.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, § 808A,
as that section applies to audiologists.

As to the Regulatory Programs Evaluation Act of
1978, see Art. 41, § 484 et seq. of the Code.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Present Art. 43, §§ 791 through 808A govern both
audiology and speech pathology. Although their professions
are closely related, audiologists and speech pathologists
must meet distinct educational requirements and receive
independent licenses issued by separate boards. An
individual may practice both audiology and speech pathology
only if licensed to practice both professions. Therefore,
under the revision of this article, the provisions on speech
pathology now appear separately in Title 19 of this article.

The Commission to Revise the Annotated Code deleted as
unnecessary present Art. 43, § 808, which provides for the
severability of present Art. 43, §§ 791 through 808A, in
light of Art. 1, § 23 of the Code.

SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.

applicable definitions.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF CHIROPRACTIC
EXAMINERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of the full title of
the Board.
