It is the intent of the

Legislature that 5 Hearing
Officer I positions @ an

average salary of $21,617
shall be eliminated through
attrition and that the Motor
Vehicle Administration not

request these positions in

the F.Y. 1983 budget.

Additionally, this reduction

shall not prohibit the

Department from amending the

budget during the fiscal

year.

29.05.00.06 Auto          Wreckers and

Scrap Processors
Special Fund Appropriation....

29.05.00.07 Driver Education

Special Fund Appropriation,

provided that the

appropriation shall be

reduced by $4,000,000

contingent upon the failure

of legislation that

increases the fee for the
original driver's license as

provided in Section

16-111-1(a) of the

Transportation Article, by

an amount sufficient to

provide that the total

annual revenue from the fee

for the original driver's

license shall be equal to or
greater than the amount of
this appropriation..........
