MARYLAND PORT ADMINISTRATION

29.04.00.01 Port Operations

Special Fund Appropriation,

provided that it is the

intent of the General

Assembly that any

appropriation for fire

protection services in a

subsequent fiscal year shall

be contingent upon

legislation being enacted to

specifically authorize the

Maryland Port Administration
to enter into contracts with
local governments for the
provision of fire protection
services.

Additionally this, reduction

shall not prohibit the

Department from amending the
budget, with the excertion
of fire protection services,

as necessary to authorize

operating and capital funds
to provide the level of
service intended in this
budget. It is the intent of

the Legislature, however,

that the Department shall
not expend funds in excess

of the $1,500,000

appropriation provided

herein for fire protection

services provided by the

City of Baltimore during

this fiscal year. It is the

intent of the General

Assembly that the Department
shall not expend more than

$1,780,000 of this

appropriation for the

purpose of reimbursing the
City of Baltimore for Marine

Fire Suppression and

Contaminent Spill Control
