SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That except as
expressly provided to the contrary in this Act, any person
licensed, registered, or certified by any board established
or continued by any statute amended, repealed, or
transferred by this Act is considered for all purposes to be
licensed, registered, or certified by the appropriate health
occupations board continued under this Act for the duration
of the term for which the license, registration, or
certification was issued, and may renew that authorization
in accordance with the appropriate renewal provisions of
this Act. Except as expressly provided to the contrary in
this Act, an individual who was originally licensed,
registered, or certified under a provision of law that has
been deleted by this Act as obsolete, continues to meet the
education and experience requirements to the same extent as
if that provision had not been deleted.
SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this Act
shall take effect on July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Health Occupations
FOR the purpose of correcting outdated references to
material included in the Health Occupations Article;
conforming certain terminology to that in the Health
Occupations Article; correcting certain incorrect
references; adding certain clarifying references to
certain health occupations boards; clarifying the right
of authorized hearing aid dealers to practice;
correcting a reference to cemetery lots; substituting
references to the medical and nursing professions for
the references to the State Board of Medical Examiners
and the state Board of Examiners of Nurses in the
recognition of additional acts to be performed by
nurses; clarifying a certain provision as to licensing
of nurse midwives; and making stylistic changes.
