19-306. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO:

(1)  MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE; AND

(2)  PAYS THE LICENSE FEE SET BY THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence and — as it applies to speech
pathologists — the second sentence of Art. 43, §
795(a).

The provisions of present Art. 43, § 795(a) that
relate to audiologists now appear in Title 2 of
this article. See the General Revisor's Note to
this title.

As to the authority of the Board to set fees, see
§ 19-206 of this title.

19-307. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

A LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE SPEECH
PATHOLOGY WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is a standard provision
added for clarity to this and, where necessary,
other titles of this article.

19-308. TERM AND RENEWAL OF LICENSES.

(A)  TERM OF LICENSE.

A LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF ITS
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED FOR A LIMITED LICENSE IN § 19-310 OF THIS
SUBTITLE, A LICENSE EXPIRES ON THE MAY 31 AFTER ITS
EFFECTIVE DATE, UNLESS THE LICENSE IS RENEWED FOR A 1-YEAR
TERM AS PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION.

(B)  RENEWAL NOTICE.

AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES, THE BOARD
SHALL SEND TO THE LICENSEE, BY FIRST CLASS MAIL TO THE LAST
KNOWN ADDRESS GIVEN TO THE BOARD BY THE LICENSEE, A RENEWAL
NOTICE THAT STATES:

(1)  THE DATE ON WHICH THE CURRENT LICENSE
EXPIRES;

(2)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE RENEWAL APPLICATION
MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE BOARD FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE ISSUED
AND MAILED BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES; AND
