the introductory clause of (d), from Art. 43, §
726(d)(2) and the first sentence and the first
clause of the last sentence of (7) and the first
clause of the first sentence of § 732(a), and
from Art. 43, § 732(b).

In subsection (a) of this section, the phrase
"may adopt" is substituted for the phrase "shall
adopt ... which may reasonably be necessary" to
clarify the discretion of the Board.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the
reference to "rules and regulations" is
substituted for the present phrase "rules of
procedure" to conform with the terminology used
for similar provisions throughout this article
and to clarify that the Board has the power to
adopt rules and regulations.

Also in subsection (a) of this section, the
reference in present Art. 43, § 726(d)(2) to
establishing examination fees is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the broad power of the
Board to establish fees under § 17-206 of this
subtitle.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, "record" is
substituted for the archaic reference to
"register" and "registry".

In subsection (b)(2) and (3) of "this section, the
duties of the Board secretary are revised as
duties of the Board to conform with the practice
of the Board.

As to subsection (b)(6) of this section, the
reference to the seal being "affixed to each
certificate issued" by the Board is deleted as
redundant of § 17-308(b) of this title.

17-206. ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES; DISPOSITION OF FUNDS.

(A)  ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES.

EXCEPT FOR THE FEES SPECIFICALLY SET BY THIS TITLE, THE
BOARD MAY SET REASONABLE FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE AND RENEWAL
OF CERTIFICATES AND ITS OTHER SERVICES.

(B)  DISPOSITION OF FUNDS.

THE BOARD SHALL PAY ALL FUNDS COLLECTED TINDER THIS
TITLE INTO THE GENERAL FUND OF THIS STATE.
