SUBTITLE 1. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.
16-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
619(a).

The word "title" is substituted for "subtitle" to
reflect the organizational scheme of this
article.

See also § 1-101 of this article for other
applicable definitions.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF
PSYCHOLOGISTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 43, § 619(b).

The present reference to the statute by which the
Board is established (cf., § 16-201 of this
title) is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

(C)  CERTIFICATE.

"CERTIFICATE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES
OTHERWISE, A CERTIFICATE OF CERTIFICATION AS A PSYCHOLOGIST,
ISSUED BY THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"certificate of certification".

(D)  CERTIFIED PSYCHOLOGIST.

"CERTIFIED PSYCHOLOGIST" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A PSYCHOLOGIST WHO IS CERTIFIED BY THE
BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"individual certified as a psychologist by the
Board".
