(III) THE NATIONAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS FOR
OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS, IF THE CERTIFICATE IS
ISSUED AFTER JANUARY 1, 1971.

(B) CONDITIONS.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY
IF:

(1)  THE APPLICANT PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE
REQUIRED BY THE BOARD UNDER § 14-307 OF THIS SUBTITLE;

(2)  THE APPLICANT PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE
THAT THE APPLICANT MEETS THE QUALIFICATIONS OTHERWISE
REQUIRED BY THIS TITLE; AND

(3)  AS TO AN APPLICANT WHO HAS A CERTIFICATE OF
PROFICIENCY AND PROFESSIONAL STANDING OF THE BOARD OF
MEDICAL EXAMINERS OF ANOTHER STATE:

(I)  THE OTHER STATE HAS LICENSING
REQUIREMENTS AT LEAST EQUIVALENT TO THOSE OF THIS STATE; AND

(II)  THE OTHER STATE WAIVES THE
EXAMINATION OF LICENSEES OF THIS STATE TO A SIMILAR EXTENT
AS THIS STATE WAIVES THE EXAMINATION OF INDIVIDUALS LICENSED
IN THAT STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
124(a)(1). Its revision is patterned after the
standard language used throughout this article
for provisions that allow or require waiver of
examination requirements on a reciprocal basis.

In subsection (a)(2)(iii) of this section, the
reference to the "National Board for Osteopathic
Physicians and Surgeons" is substituted for the
obsolete reference to the "National Board of
Osteopathic Examiners".

Subsection (b)(1) of this section is standard
language added for clarity.

14-310. SAME -- DOCTORS OF OSTEOPATHY.

(A)  "APPROVED SCHOOL OF OSTEOPATHY" DEFINED.

IN THIS SECTION, "APPROVED SCHOOL OF OSTEOPATHY" MEANS
A SCHOOL OF OSTEOPATHY THAT IS APPROVED BY THE AMERICAN
OSTEOPATHIC ASSOCIATION.

(B)  IN GENERAL.

SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD
SHALL WAIVE THE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE
FOR AN APPLICANT WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE OSTEOPATHY.
