REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived in
part from Art. 43, § 121(11), except as that item
relates to employees.

In. subsection (a) of this section, the phrase
"{f}rom among its members" is added for clarity
and to conform with current Board practice.

Regarding subsection (a) of this section, the
present reference to "employees" now appears in §
14-204(d) of this subtitle.

Subsection (b) of this section is standard
language added to clarify the manner of election
for officers of the Board and their terms of
office.

14-204. QUORUM; MEETINGS; COMPENSATION; STAFF.

(A)  QUORUM.

A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS THEN SERVING ON THE BOARD IS
A QUORUM.

(B)  MEETINGS.

THE BOARD SHALL MEET:

(1)  AT THE TIMES AND PLACES THAT IT DETERMINES;
AND

(2)  AS REQUESTED BY THE SECRETARY.

(C)  COMPENSATION.

EACH MEMBER OF THE BOARD IS ENTITLED TO:

(1)  COMPENSATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE
BUDGET; AND

(2)  REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE
STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE
BUDGET.

(D)  STAFF.

THE BOARD MAY EMPLOY A STAFF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
STATE BUDGET.

120(3) and (7) and the last sentence of § 121(7)
and from Art. 43, § 121(11), as that item relates
to employees.
