(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO THE PHARMACY
PERMIT;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL FEE OF $20; AND

(3)  SUBMITS A RENEWAL APPLICATION TO THE BOARD
ON THE FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(D)  ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE PHARMACY PERMIT OF EACH
PHARMACY PERMIT HOLDER WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
SECTION.

(E)  FAILURE TO RENEW.

IF APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL IS NOT MADE ON OR BEFORE
DECEMBER 1, THE PHARMACY PERMIT SHALL EXPIRE ON THE LAST DAY
OF ITS TERM AND THE BOARD MAY NOT REINSTATE THE PHARMACY
PERMIT UNLESS THE APPLICANT:

(1)  PROVIDES REASON, SUFFICIENT TO THE BOARD,
FOR THE FAILURE TO FILE WITHIN THE TIME REQUIRED; AND

(2)  PAYS, IN ADDITION TO THE RENEWAL FEE, A LATE
FEE OF $5.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
from the third sentence of Art. 43, § 268(a), the
second clause of the second sentence of the third
paragraph of (b), and the first sentence of (c).
To the extent possible, it is revised to conform
to the language used throughout this article to
set out comparable provisions regarding the term,
renewal, and reinstatement of the licenses of the
health practitioners governed under this article.

Subsection (b)(2) of this section is new language
added to conform to current Board practice. The
new language is similar to that used in
comparable renewal provisions throughout this
article.

12-408. NONTRANSFERABILITY OF PHARMACY PERMITS; DISPLAY OF
PHARMACY PERMITS.

(A)  NONTRANSFERABILITY.

A PHARMACY PERMIT IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.

(B)  DISPLAY.

EACH PHARMACY PERMIT SHALL BE DISPLAYED CONSPICUOUSLY
IN THE PHARMACY FOR WHICH IT IS ISSUED.
