SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

(House Bill 67)

AN ACT concerning

State Board of Inspection of Horse Riding
Stables - Licenses

FOR the purpose of altering the expiration date of a license
issued by the State Board of Inspection of Horse Riding
Stables; and making this Act an emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Agriculture

Section 2-712(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1974 Volume and 1980 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

2-712.

(a) A license expires on [the May 31] JUNE 30 after
its effective date, unless the license is renewed for a
1-year term as provided in this section.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That any license
that was issued under Title 2, Subtitle 7 of the Agriculture
Article and that, prior to this Act, was due to expire on
May 31, 1981, shall continue to be effective until June 30,
1981.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
