CHARTER AMENDMENT

AN ACT concerning

Amendment of Section 303: and an addition of a new
Section 303.1 Charter of Prince George's County.

FOR the purpose of providing that the County Council be
composed of eleven members who shall be nominated and
elected by the qualified voters of the entire County, five
of whom at the time of their election shall each reside in a
different one of the five Councilmanic Districts; and
repealing the provision that five of the members of the
Council shall be nominated and elected by the qualified
voters of the Councilmanic District in which they reside;
and further providing that if there are conflicting charter
amendments adopted by the voters at the general election in
November, 1980, the amendments proposed in Council Bill
127-1980, as adopted by the voters, shall prevail.
