CHARTER AMENDMENT

AN ACT concerning

Amendment of Sections 301, 303, 304, and 305; and
addition of new Section 303.1, Charter of Prince George's
County

FOR the purpose of reducing the membership of the
County Council from eleven to nine; reducing the number of
Councilmanic districts from five to four; and providing that
five Council members shall be nominated and elected at
large; providing that four members shall each reside in, and
be nominated and elected by the voters of a separate
Councilmanic district; and providing further that if there
are conflicting Charter amendments adopted by the voters at
the general election in November, 1980, the amendments
proposed in Council Bill-103-1980, as adopted by the voters,
shall prevail.

BY proposing amendments to:

Sections 301, 303, 304, and 305

Charter of Prince George's County, Maryland.

BY proposing the addition of:

Section 303.1,

Charter of Prince George's County, Maryland.

Effective Date July 29, 1980.
