said section being Section 5-30 of Subtitle 5 of Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition)
which Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of
the City of Bowie, by repealing and re-enacting with
amendments said Section 30.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that elections
shall be on Tuesday instead of Monday;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bowie, Maryland:

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 8

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as
amended) to amend Section 31 entitled "Election of
councilmen", said section being Section 5-31 of subtitle 5
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1963 Edition) which Article contains in whole or in part
the Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing and
re-enacting with amendments said Section 31.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that elections

BY ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING THE EXISTING

CORPORATE AREA (JACOBS TRIANGLE WHITEMARSH PARK)

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie, a Municipal
Corporation of the State of Maryland, has determined to
enlarge and extend the limits of the City of Bowie by
including therein a part of Prince George's County
