Subtitle 6 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1963 Edition) which Article contains in whole or
in part the Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing and
re-enacting with amendments said Section 67.

[Section 5-66 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, (1963 Edition) repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date April 9, 1980]

CHARTER AMENDMENT
RESOLUTION NO. 3 - 80

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article
23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as
amended), to amend Section 62 entitled "City treasurer."
said section being Section 5-62 of Subtitle 5 of Article 17
of the Code of Public Laws of Maryland {1963 Edition) which
Article contains in whole or in part the Charter of the City
of Bowie, by repealing Section 62.

[Section(s) 5-63 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, (1963 Edition) repealed.

Effective Date April 9, 1980]

CHARTER AMENDMENT
RESOLUTION NO. 6-80

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E
of the Constitution of Maryland Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended) to
amend Charter Section 26 entitled "Notice of Elections and
Registration Day", said section being Section 5-26 of
Subtitle 5 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1963 Edition) which Article contains in whole or
in part the Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing and
re-enacting Section 26.

WHEREAS, Charter Section 26 requires the Board of
Supervisors of Elections to place advertisements two weeks
in advance of a registration day, but other charter and code
provisions require that nearly every day is a registration
day.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bowie, Maryland:
