MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

WHEREAS, violations designated as infractions are treated as
Civil rather than Criminal offenses; and

WHEREAS, any fine associated with the infraction shall be
paid to the Town rather than the Court.

CHARTER AMENDMENT NO. 1

Enactment of an Amendment to the Charter for Bladensburg

RESOLUTION of the Council of the Town of Bladensburg to
amend the Charter of the Town of Bladensburg, this amendment
to be entitled "Municipal Infractions", such being the 1st.
amendment to the Charter by increasing the penalty for
violation of any act defined as a misdemeanor, and by adding
a new subsection (b) "Municipal Infractions", in Article
VII, General Provisions, Section 702, Misdemeanors.
