STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland
on November 4, 1980, an Act known as Chapter 524 of the Acts
of 1980 was submitted to the voters of the State of Maryland
under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:
AN ACT concerning Judiciary Department - Removal of
Causes. For the purpose of providing an automatic right of
removal to another court having jurisdiction of certain
criminal actions; providing that in other criminal actions
and in all civil cases, the party must establish cause for
the removal of the suit, action, issue, presentment, or
indictment; clarifying language; correcting an error;
repealing certain obsolete provisions; making this provision
subject to a certain contingency; generally relating to the
removal of criminal and civil cases from one court to
another having jurisdiction; and submitting this amendment
to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their
adoption or rejection.
And it is hereby certified that at said election,
628,688 votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 524
and 213,527 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Chapter 524, the said Chapter 524 of the Acts of 1980 has
therefore been ratified by the qualified voters of the State
of Maryland.

Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 24th day of
November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine
Hundred and Eighty.
