Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 456.

This bill increases the total sum available to local
subdivisions for Program Open Space planning purposes.

Senate Bill 152, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 19, 1981, accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
456.

AN ACT concerning

Domestic Violence - Temporary Ex Parte Orders

FOR the purpose of requiring the District Court or a circuit
court in this State to continue a certain temporary ex
parte order with respect to domestic violence for a
certain period of time under certain circumstances.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 4-503(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1980 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
