HARRY HUGHES, Governor
3447
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed Senate Bill 666.
This bill increases the original State debt
authorization for the Washington College Loan Act of 1978 by
$350,000 from $210,000 to $560,000. Proceeds of the bonds
are to be used to renovate and modify the central heating
distribution system on the campus of Washington College.
House Bill 1018, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 19, 1981, accomplishes the
same purpose.
Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
666.
Sincerely,
Harry Hughes
Governor
