AN ACT concerning

City of Baltimore - General Powers

FOR the purpose of amending the Charter of Baltimore City,
General Powers, to enable the City to acquire, within
the boundary lines of Baltimore City, land property
of every kind, by purchase, gift, eminent domain, or
other legal means, repeal a prohibition against the
City's acquisition of certain property by eminent
domain for or In connection with the industrial and
economic growth of Baltimore City, and to attach
certain conditions to the use of eminent domain.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Charter of Baltimore City
Article II - General Powers
Section (15A)(a)
(1964 Revision, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article II - General Powers

(15A) INDUSTRIAL AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT

(a) To acquire, within the boundary lines of Baltimore
City, land and property of every kind, by purchase, gift,
EMINENT DOMAIN, or any other legal means [, but not by
eminent domain,] for or in connection with the industrial
and economic growth of Baltimore City, HOWEVER, THE USE OF
EMINENT DOMAIN FOR THIS PURPOSE SHALL BE LIMITED TO
ACQUISITION OF ADJACENT BUT NOT NECESSARILY CONTIGUOUS LAND
