financial assistance for energy projects, or Chapter______

of the Acts of 1981 (S.B. 343) (llr2079) or (H.B. 654)
(llr0956), concerning the establishment of an energy saving
device loan program. Should that measure both measures fail
of enactment, this Act shall be null and void without the
necessity of further action by the General Assembly.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 345.

This bill authorizes a State debt of $1,000,000 for the
"Energy Conservation and Solar Energy Program Loan of 1981."

House Bill 655, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 12, 1981, accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
345.

AN ACT concerning

Board of Public Works - Geothermal Resources - State Lands

FOR the purpose of providing that geothermal resources
located on real property of owned by the State may be
sold, leased, transferred, exchanged, granted, or
otherwise disposed of for consideration determined to
be adequate in the opinion of the Board of Public
Works, subject to such conditions as the Board of
Public Works and the Department of Natural Resources
may impose.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
