NOTE

Ninety-five bills were vetoed by the Governor following
the 1981 Regular Session of the General Assembly. Fifty of
these bills originated in the Senate, and 45 of them orig-
inated in the House of Delegates. There was also a line
item veto in Senate Bill 426. Pursuant to the provisions of
Section 17 of Article II of the Constitution of Maryland,
these bills will be returned to the General Assembly immedi-
ately after the Legislature has organized at the next
Regular or Special Session, to be reconsidered in order to
determine whether the veto is sustained or overridden.
