Section 5-204

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1980 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 10-101 through 10-129, inclusive,
of Article - Corporations and Associations, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland be repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed, amended, or
enacted to read as follows:

Article - Corporations and Associations

1-101.

(q) Principal office. "Principal office" means:

(1)  The place in this State filed or recorded
with the Department as the principal office of a corporation
OR DOMESTIC LIMITED PARTNERSHIP; or

(2)  If there is no principal office designated,
the main office of the corporation OR DOMESTIC LIMITED
PARTNERSHIP in this State for the transaction of business.

1-203.

In addition to any bonus tax, the Department shall
collect the following fees:

(4) For each of the following documents which are
filed but not recorded, the filing fee is as indicated:

Reservation of a corporate OR LIMITED PARTNERSHIP name....$7

Original registration of name of a foreign corporation OR
FOREIGN LIMITED PARTNERSHIP to end of calendar year.....$50

Renewal of registration of name of a foreign corporation OR
FOREIGN LIMITED PARTNERSHIP for one calendar year........$50

Documents in connection with the qualification of a foreign
corporation OR FOREIGN LIMITED PARTNERSHIP to do intrastate
business in this State...................................$50

Annual report of a Maryland corporation, except a
charitable or benevolent institution, nonstock
corporation, savings and loan corporation, credit union,
and banking institution..................................$40
