SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

16-403.

(c) (1) Except as otherwise provided in this
subsection, the State share is 50 percent of the current
expenses of each community college, but not more than
[$850] $895 per full-time equivalent student, EXCEPT
THAT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1982 ONLY THE STATE SHARE SHALL NOT
EXCEED $878 PER FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENT.

(2) The State share is 55 percent of the current
expenses, but not more than [$1,305] $1,401 per
full-time equivalent student for, EXCEPT THAT FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1982 ONLY THE STATE SHARE SHALL NOT EXCEED $1,384 PER
FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT STUDENT FOR;

(i) Any community college with less than
500 full-time equivalent students if the county in which the
community college is located has a population of less than
50,000; and
