AN ACT concerning

The Maryland Energy Office and the State Energy
Conservation Board

FOR the purpose of changing obsolete references in the
provisions establishing the Maryland Energy Officer
specifying the purpose, composition, and activities of
the State Energy Conservation Board; and generally
relating to the State Energy Conservation Board and
providing that the Secretary shall implement and
administer certain energy programs.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

11-101.

(a)  The Maryland Energy Office is established within
the Department of Natural Resources[, Energy and Coastal
Zone Administration].

(b)  The SECRETARY [administrator of the Energy and
Coastal Zone Administration] shall implement and administer
those conservation, allocation, or other energy programs or
measures pursuant to State law or federal laws, orders, or
federal rules, or regulations.

11-103.

(A) THERE IS ESTABLISHED IN THE DEPARTMENT A STATE
ENERGY CONSERVATION BOARD.
