SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms
of the members of the Banking Board are altered and shall
expire as follows:

(1)  The economist and a public member, in 1982;

(2)  The representative of the Maryland State
Bankers Association, in 1983;

(3)  The certified public accountant, in 1984;

(4)  The representative of the Baltimore Clearing
House, in 1985;

(5)  A public member, in 1986;

(6)  The representative of the Associated Mutual
Savings Banks of Maryland, in 1987.

SECTION 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Banking Institutions - Prohibited Acts

FOR the purpose of prohibiting banking institutions from
engaging in certain acts or practices; prohibiting
banking institutions from requiring certain conditions
in order to extend credit or furnish services;
providing for a penalty; authorizing the Bank
Commissioner to issue cease and desist orders and apply
for injuctions; and generally relating to
anticompetitive, unfair, and deceptive acts or
practices by banking institutions.
