(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF NURSES.

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE:

(1)  REGISTERED NURSING;

(2)  LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSING; OR

(3)  MIDWIFERY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition in this title of
phrases such as "license to practice registered
nursing", "license to practice licensed practical
nursing" and "license to practice midwifery".

(D)  LICENSED NURSE MIDWIFE.

"LICENSED NURSE MIDWIFE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A REGISTERED NURSE WHO IS LICENSED BY
THE BOARD TO PRACTICE MIDWIFERY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"individual licensed to practice midwifery".

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
title as a synonym for "licensed nurse midwife".
Since "license" is defined in subsection (c) of
this section, "licensee" need not be defined

separately.
